Resonance - Good or bad ?

I know it sounds cool to "Plunk" a blade and listen to it sing , but what does this tell us about a blade, other than lack of fractures ? Thoughts?

If you hit the right frequency, could the blade slice better

edited to add: apparently my Paul Bos treated ATS-34 did not sound like good steel to him.

The comic relief was the guy next to me. He said, and I quote again, "Huh, I didn't know those Indians were such great F'n metallurgists."
