Not quite cut & dried as flat slabs, but not bad for re-handling.
At first blush, looks like the difficult part for a DIY'er <like myself > may be in getting the slabs perfectly flat so they join up tight ALL the way AROUND at the seam where they meet up.
It had a good amount of white thread locker, typical of the Taiwan made blades. If you were to make the scales like the factory it definitely would be important getting the slabs flat.
