I have been told that when using a bench grinder I need to use a resperator when grinding. Would a paper filter mask work, like the kind you would use for painting in doors? Is the same true if I am using the flat disc instead of the grinding wheel? Thanks. I am getting closer to being able to start my first project, I can't wait, It's making me crazy.

the paper things dont do much more than fog up you classes. go to any hard wear /lumber yard and get one of the rubber 3m resperator's whit the deul filters. all of this stuff causes damanage to you lungs wood, forgeing, any grinding. the small fine particles wreck the scila hairs in your lungs

Thanks, I'll make sure to buy a decent resperator.
