jeffrey lets make it real simple for you! you do not have to respond to any of my threads. you do not know me & your remarks were really stupid; just gives me an idea of what type of person you are. only a coward would take popshots at somebody over interntet!!!! to everybody else thank you for positive feedback

book, peacefuljefferey has been (rightfully) called out here for being kind of snotty towards other people, but I have to agree with him on this one. jefferey sometime lacks tact in his delivery. ;)

Perhaps I can put it a bit more gently: Putting a little effort into structuring your thoughts and punctuating your posts shows respect for the rest of us, and will garner a better response rate. If it is easy for the rest of us to read and understand, more people will take the time to read and respond.

Also, taking a whole new thread to address a petty disagreement is generally considered "bad form", and will not make you any friends among the members or the moderators.

For my part, I will say that I dulled every knife I tried to sharpen on freehand stones. I just could never get or maintain the correct angle. I LOVE the Sharpmaker. I'm sure another method could get them sharper, but the sharpmaker gets my knives plenty sharp enough for me. I use plastic as a test medium. The plastic jackets that magazines sometimes come in is good. If a blade drags, it is not sharp. With the sharpmaker, I can get them so they slice through just on their own weight, without pressure.

I have to agree with RH. The best piece of advice you got in your previous post was from peacefuljefferey.

i also side with RH. i find it bizarre that somehow, your comeback to jeffrey warrants proper punctuation and gramar, but not your original posts. please take a handful of extra seconds to type clearly, using periods and commas when necessary. i will commend you, however. your retort was much easier on the eyes!

I appreciate, welcome positive criticism & will take time in future to consider proper punctuation; also apologize for making post tough to read. I still feel extra comments in earlier post where not neccesary & stupid; no need for that.

book, your anger at peacefuljeffrey's inexcusable lack of tact in making a valid point is understandable. You would be best served by making a distinction between him and yourself by not following in kind.

selfinflicted; thank you. I consider your advice sound, matter closed moving on. also rh your approach in pointing out lack of punctuation was perfect example of how respectful people handle problem.
