I don't want to grieve, he was too much fun to watch.

Oh no. Another great one lost. Nielsen really could make anything funny.

And don't call me Shirley.

Oh man, this one hurts almost as bad as George Carlin's passing :(:grumpy:

RIP Mr.Nielsen

Gollnick nailed it with "And don't call me Shirley" 30 or so yrs later & I still get a chuckle out of that!:D:D

Great, great comedic talent. Man he made me laugh a lot. Rest in peace Leslie.

He was the best. Does anyone remember that he was a leading man type originally? He was in Poseiden Adventure, Beau Geste, Forbidden Planet. Then was just hysterical in the Naked Gun and airplane movies.

My favorite was Police Squad. He and his partner were having a gun fight with crooks (behind trash cans about 10 feet apart). He yelled, "cover me" and started to run for the crooks, his partner jumped up and tossed a blanket over him.

I rarely watch tv or movies. With that said, he was one that I would go out of my way to watch. Nobody has ever made me laugh like he did.
For any of you that play golf, Leslie Neilsen's Bad Golf Made Easier is a must watch.

My grandmother made the statement a long time ago I would know when I was getting older because I would start looking at the obituaries first instead of the sports page. I now find myself doing just that on a more frequent basis. . . Too many good people are passing & no one is there to fill the void.
RIP Mr. Nielsen, thank you for the memories of a lifetime.
Be safe.

Leslie Nielsen was the best thing since moe.
