Since I found an old Helsper-hatchet my interest in old axes and hatches was rised.
Wonderful … another field of interest to explore.

Cool. Has that Hudson Bay/Tomahawk look. 800g is about 1.8 pounds - so similar in weight to vintage American HB axes.

I am very curious how this restoration-project will develope.
As soon as I derusted the hatchet and re-handled it I will post new pictures.

Meanwhile the hatchet looks like this:

Still a new convex edge and a leather case for transport are needed, but then this hatchet is ready for work!
