Someone is a knucklehead ..If you are going to store your knife in it's sheath. Don't leave it on the back deck during the rainy/humid Ga. summer.

...but will it cut? Everything else is just vanity - Er o_O of course I mean knife vanity - not suggesting anything about you Vance - I don't see you as a preener :)

You can save the knife though, I have no doubt.

I've developed a special process to "let out the beauty deep within", so send it to me and I'll see what I can do. I promise that it will come back lighter and shinier than when it arrives.

Looks better .. but you missed some near the scales. How does the spine look? :)

And, who is putting you on "knife time out" till you learn your lesson. lol

So that was step one. Rough sanded the flats and used an eraser on some of it. Then I ground it to 120 grit. Time to finish it up and clean the spines. Good as new.

I 'spect it helps to have a well-established, highly-regarded, top-level knife-creating shop at your disposal.

It's good to know that even the masters of the craft have vestiges of human fallibility left in them.

Reassuring, it is. :)
