Hi All,

Just picked up a schrade 175 from ebay for about $25. The blade is beautiful, and very well kept.... the rest

The plastic stocks or grips are poorly fitted and the brass liners looked like they were grinded completely out of spec. As well, the blade completely rides against the liner when closing. I will try to post pics tonight after work.

Question is, am I nuts to want to modify this knife? It can't be worth anything, but the blade is so nice and I do like the feel. Would it be expensive to reshape the liner and have new grips applied?
