While cleaning up the attic I ran into an old slipjoint I bought as a kid about 25 years ago.
I remember I loved this knife alot for many years and cut anything from wood, plastic, cardboard to electric wires with it.
It must be the first knife I've ever pimped ;) by painting the wooden scales black.

Today I've tried to restore it to it old original state, removed the black paint, sand the blade and put a new edge on it.
The wood has a nice smell to it I remember it also had when it was new, don't know what type of wood it is.
I've sanded the wood and the blade with 600 grit sandpaper, oiled the wood and stropped the edge.
I like the result, still some spots in the steel, but I don't mind some age marks to remain.

Hope you like my results :)

Very well done. Hope you enjoy using it again. It can bring back some memories of time gone by.

Thanks for the nice comments guys :).
The wood's much prettier in real life, has a deep shine to it, I love it but can capture it on photo.
She will get some pocket time, it's in my pocket right now and will be for the rest of the weekend for sure.
It's nice how restoring the knife also restores some old memories :)
