With materials from Jerry Hossom and advice from Les DeAsis I put this RARE 'salesmans sample' BaliSong USA back into it's original glory! Thanks to everyone that helped and gave spiritual assistance as I re-fit the stag with new liners and reattatched the micarta.

No; the stag was perfect but the liner material on the ends and on the bottom of one had detatched over the last 20 years. I had to VERY CAREFULLY fit the liner material to the stag then fit the stag into the dovetails of the handle without marring either one. I finished with hand-files and a 'knife blade' I cold-forged from brass that wouldn't harm the stainless handles but would trim/burnish the remaining liner material. There was no room for error<eek>!
