Hey there, first time poster so not sure if this is the right thread to post in. Anyways, I've been sharpening and restoring knife blades as a hobby for a while now, but am now diving into working on handles. I have this vintage mora with a loose guard and pommel, and was wanting some advise on how to proceed. There aren't a whole lot of resources on YouTube that I can find. What I was wanting to learn was can I tighten these up with our having to remove the handle. My hope was to fix these issues and then just aande down the handle and apply some oil.

The pommel looks like it was peened in (also looks beat to hell) to the best of my knowledge, so I've tried peening it further with no luck. Any ideas I should try before just trying to remove and replace the handle entirely? Here's a link to some pics/vids at the bottom.

Appreciate any insight y'all can offer!

Hmmmmmm !!!!!!

The obvious way would be to hammer the end and tighten everything .. But if not done right ! You might destroy the knife ..

The other option that I have employed with some older ( Vintage ) knives ..
Is " Match Sticks " used as filler ................ as in fill in the slop .. And then SUPER glue ...
You may need to get creative and employ some camo to hide the filler .. But , it's a less destructive ( possibly ) method to employ .
Fill & Glue the slop !
