Anybody out there have experience sharpening a Microtech Ultratech with bayonet style blade? I’ll be using the system from KME and while doing the initial setup in the clamp, the first 1 inch or so (from heel of the blade) it doesn’t look like there will be any issues with the angle. As anyone knows who has sharpened this particular blade, you can see the trouble with keeping the same angle comes as soon as the taper to the point starts. Not only is there the edge bevel but the blade itself also has a bevel which begins exactly in the center of the blade and continuously changes all the way to the point. So I’m just looking for tips on overcoming all these different angles that come into play.
