Retirement Bali

While not much money in terms of their individual worth, but as a set, they should do nicely towards my kid's college fund, if not my retirement plans.

Yes Tony.., definitely a good start towards surf-fishing in the Virgin Islands while sipping your favorite beverage :)

"Hunters seek what they [WANT].., Seekers hunt what they [NEED]"

hmm, funny..
i was just thinking the other day that it would be fun to save up a lot of money, and then get someone to make the most expensive balisong in the world.
not sure for inserts - maybe some sort of teeth or bone, or just a nice big crystal plate. :)
and certainly diamonds on the inserts, the latch, where ever, just to pride the beauty.
worth around $1mill? :)

but then i got my senses back, and though: if you don't make more money than any other avarage student working part time at a gas station, how the hell would you save up a mill, and why the hell do you wanna spend that mill on a freaking butterfly?! :p
i must be suffering from some kind of mental deciece (?! wrong spelling?) ... ;)

I, like tonyccw and one other forumite that I know of, was able to match up my BM 49SPL #15/25 with BM 49-01 #15/100. IMHO, the set of two is worth more than both sold inividually. How many more sets are out there???

I do have an exceptional BM custom bali that retailed for $1575 in 1990.... It's so 'rare' that Les and Roberta don't even remember it!!! It was a collaberation between Eric Bedoy, then VP of BM, and Jody Samson.

I'd love to put up some pictures but it looks like Photopoint bit the big one and I'll absolutely screwed until I can get another host AND RETAKE 611 pictures:mad:. Needless to say if they dump their server, I'm out hundreds of pictures that I CAN'T take again because the knives have been traded or sold....:(

EDITED to remove my incorrect info.

Photopoint pisses me off! :barf:

I paid for a membership, and everything. No notice...Just gone...I'm trying PictureTrail.com, but it's not as user friendly...

Try Clubphoto. It's a little slow, and their constant spam gets a little annoying, but it's still working. Not sure how it'll survive the Photopoint refugees though.

Never saw that page before. I vant that knife. Maybe I can hire the Ocean's Eleven crew to obtain it for me. ;-)

Not true. You have the connections, us. As for being poor; keep looking at that Damascus Bowie, use it as an incentive to really work hard and make the big bucks. In this case it's not about greed. It's strictly how many toys one can accumulate :D

You've got 12 years to start saving. When I get that first tuition bill, some of these will have to go ;) :barf:

Not mine. I wish. The owner and I have been communicating regarding our mutual Elishewitz balis. I'll have to keep his ID and location a secret to protect that bali from your Ocean 11 crew. ;)

Damn you Batman, you've foiled my plans again. Wait until next time! I WILL have that bali! ;)

I noticed that he has the 'Jonas Collection' with the picture of an Elishewitz bali #11/17..........Needless to say, that reside in MY collection now!!! ;):D

Those are some awesome knives, Tony! All I can say is WOW! That really does give me an incentive to start savin' my hourly wages  Cause you know I make the big money, working at a fast food place :p

Wish I could take credit, but they belong to someone else. If I take some decent pic's, I'll speak to him about adding my collection to his site.

Hey, I started out as a delivery boy working tips for a Chinese resturant when I was 14. Saved enough to buy my first PC custom by 17. Lots of jobs in between, and still working. We all start somewhere. Just accept the fact that a big chunk of your disposable income is going towards buying bali's, and all will be well. ;)
