I just passed my 33rd year working at Giant Food. I only work there 25 hours a week for the health benefits and extra $$. My wife may be getting an opportunity at a fulltime position where she is working. This will definately put me in a position to retire and be able to put more time in my knifemaking. I do put in over 40 hrs a week now but at least only working in the shop will make it alot easier. My plan is to leave the big G in 2012.

Best of luck to you Scott. I just passed my 23rd year in law enforcement and have to work another 10 before I can retire. I am in the middle of a 30 day straight stretch of work right now.

Looks like you're holding up well age wise! Wouldn't have thought you were old enough to have that much time in with them.

Hope it works out well for you. Life is better (I assume) when you're doing something you love.

Thanks guys. ohen, I'm 51, start working there right out of high school at 18 years old. I started everything young, got married at 19, married for 32 years and couldn't be happier. Both of my kids are grown.
