Retro cool.... EZE Diamond sharpener

Inherited from my late Father-in-law Custer. He wore it daily for as
long as i knew him. Many hunting, fishing, shooting and whittling
remembrances. I will pass it on to my sons. Still manuf. , now with
aluminum housing... not much monetary value...but, great family
history. Cool to have something from their Grandpa.

Lovely! :)

Hah, I just bought one a couple of months back!
Didn't come with a cool leather pouch though, coming with a pocket clip instead (IIRC, it's out in the garage in my tackle box at the moment).

... I remember Custer sharpening fish hooks on this one....

Here's mine that I inherited from my Dad.
This one hasn't seen all that yours has.

Really cool, and even more so that it belonged to a family member.

My local hardware store has these, and I've been interested in getting one for a while.

WowBagger... outstanding. Your Dad had good taste.

HnS...Not to be an enabler.... do it ! I think you'll enjoy the tool. There must be
a reason they are still available.

Ed... had not even considered that...thank you.

I started using those in the 1970s. They are still my favorite field sharpener, they are still being made, and they are still relatively inexpensive. I have a KME that I use at home, but in the field I use one of these because it is simple and reliable.

I just ordered an new one of these sharpener this morning.

I ordered mine after seeing this video this morning, at 1m35s

I bought a ez-lap pocket double ceramic/diamond sided sharper yesterday, as they say the diamonds adhesive is better than any other brand so the diamond last longer.

I was going to get the FALLKNIVEN DC4 but reports that the diamond surface wears out fast so i went for the ez-lap version.

I have two -- one that I bought in the mid-80s and another that I bought for my father sometime in the 90s and later inherited from him. I originally bought it to sharpen my Buck 110.
