Nettie and I returned from Blade/road trip last night and had a wonderful time!

I wanted to do a little give-a-way to mark my first Blade show. We stopped at the welcome center in Mammoth Springs AR. just over the Missouri border and spied these little knives for sale. Made in Arkansas by a small company? called the McCoy Knife company. This is a junior stockman made from 440 high carbon?. Diamond wood scales, brass liners and nickle silver bolsters. I hand picked what I thought was the best out of 6 or 7 knives. Some had burnt tips on the blades, some nail pulls were radically different. This one works well with good walk and talk, no half-stops.

All I ask is that you be a contributor to traditional forums. Please guess a number between 3500 and 3600. This is the total number of miles traveled on our trip. The number closest to my odometer reading will receive the knife. Please post only once and its your responsibility to check to see if someone else guessed your number. The first post with the correct and or closest number will receive the knife.

Good luck!

Not An Entry

Glad to have you back safe and sound, Ken. It was a great show and you and Nettie were two of the most important reasons why.

Also not an entry, but great gesture, neat little knife, and even cooler process for picking the winner.

Not an entry. Meeting you and Nettie was a pleasure Ken. Glad to hear you are home safe and sound. Thank you for everything you do here for this community.

Not entering on this one Ken but I just wanted to say...HOLY CRAP! Your saying you drove over 3500 miles for blade total? That is remarkable. Also, good giveaway :)

Yep! I think my butt is now permanently shaped like a Jeep Cherokee seat,LOL. Not counting our home state of Wisconsin we drove though a 5th of the states, 10 plus Wi giving a total of 11. Although I must say we incorporated our vacation into the Blade show trip. Next year we will think about flying into Atlanta.

Sounds like a great road trip, the most likely way I'd ever go to Blade myself. I'll go with 3516.

That is just awesome. Just wow. I mean I drove from Washington state to Key West once, but that was when I was moving back from Japan and had to get to florida. You did it for Blade. I give major props.

Not an entry, but a great Giveaway!
That's a substantial road trip Ken and Nettie!
Hope you enjoyed all of it!

Ken,

Not an entry, but I just had to say that it was a real honor and a pleasure to meet you at the Show. I'm the guy that Gus (Bastid) brought to your table on Friday, and I must say that I'm really enjoying that little gem of a knife, which is the very dark maroon micarta beautiful Shadow that you sold me. Thank you!

BTW, that's quite a road trip! Glad it was a safe journey. :)
