Been a while since I've been able to visit the shop .. as a matter of fact, I havent been able to get to the shop since the Guild meeting last month. Apparently the world could not turn without me assisting it at my day job. I was starting to twist in pain .. cause I havent been able to buy myself a new Fiddleback in over a month!!

This visit has almost 50 pics. Andy was headed out the door for the Knife Makers Guild meeting so this week's production was nothing more than prep work for next week's knives. All knives for this coming Friday are coming from 'the reserve' caddys .. and whew doggie .. there are some grails in there for sure. NOTE: there's A LOT of pics of the Reserve caddys .. 3 full/double stacked caddys. Not all of the knives pictured will be available on Friday, only some of them. Which ones? I dont have a clue. That's up to Allen & Phillip to decide.

The crew getting blades, glue ups, and shipping done ..

Phillip & David answering all the PMs VANCE had stacking up on the forum. :)

Allen finished Glue Ups and made it back out to the grinders for handle scales prep work.

All quiet in the prep room. The 'table' is still used for scales getting prepped/glued. Far counter is also for scale prep work.

Blade Blank wall ... check out that bottom left corner. :)

I saw Vance posted these up in the Production thread - but here's the next Mid-Tech Production knives coming. The Duke & Kephart.
The .100 is the measurement of the handle gradation.

This caddy was still in the grinder area. Thinking the next stop may be hand sanding. Maybe they're part of next week's inventory?
Not sure .. and no one was around to tell me what's up with them. Some nice ones here tho.

Fletcher Knives just hanging out next to the oven. The color tells me these are CPM blades.

The ones in the grinder room when nobody was around
Those are ones we sanded this week and Andy put the finish grinds on them today

Another great "peek" - thanks. I really miss these when your day job takes over! Awesome batch...gives me something to look at until Friday.

I've really missed these sneak peeks. Thanks Bud. Some real nice ones for sure.

Nice to have you back Bud! Fun sneak peek and a lot of cool pics!

 Great looking knives coming down the pipeline! Thanks for the Sneak Peek Bud!

Actually if you zoom in the spalting looks very heavy like A2
The blue tip means the blade is ground to 120grit belt

I took it to mean what the handle material is it

Are the tips on the A2 not red?

The handle scales were Ruby Burlap. I took a couple pics of it. ;)

The layout fluid I use to distinguish the two is as follows
Red for A2 and blue for O1
The only time I think that would matter is prior to heat treat

Once he starts grinding I can't think of a time he has both out just to separate the two and the progress he has made
