My parents were here over the weekend, and we originally planned on going to Giant Forest. But when my mother saw the weather conditions there (31 degrees and foggy) she decided that maybe a lower elevation destination would be better. So I took them up Dry Creek Drive in the foothills below Giant Forest. The main flower bloom is over, but we did see a few.

First, a couple views of the general area:

And some detail along the creek:

In a couple months it will not be green like this.

Man,that's one of the most beautiful landskapes i've ever seen !!!

When I first saw the pics, I thought, wow, that is very familiar countryside... Then I saw who posted it, and realized that it was familiar countryside, duh.
I always enjoy your pics Lambertiana, thanks!

I just helped myself to a couple new background for my pc's; I hope you don't mind..

Those creek pics are just great!

Wow, those pics are awesome! They are like the pics you see for screensavers and in the stores to hang up. You should start your own business :D

Great pics buddy, those hills almost look like the rolling hills from when I lived in the UK !!!!

Lambertiana,

There are very few pictures that you have posted, that I haven't saved to a 'scenery' folder. These are no exception.
