For the last couple of months i have been carrying one of my #09 Esquires cos i like small knives, but because my hands are stiffening up i have gone back to my "Owl" figuring i am less likely to drop it than a #09, losing hold of a knife indoors is not so bad, but recently i had to hack my way into a mess of stinging nettles to retrieve my stag squire dropped while trying to take pictures of my GEC family. Anyhoo this morning i switched my watch pocket carry to the White Owl, the first time i used it today was to halve and split a small baguette ,of course that was no challenge but i realised that though the Esquire will get the job done the "Owl" was so much neater and quicker. I guess life is just easier with a White Owl.
Although what i am going to do when my #22 Magnum arrives i shall just have to wait and see...

Sometimes it is nice to have a little larger knife. Nothing wrong with things being easier and neater. Enjoy the owl yet again.

Nice ebony 68 you have there :)

I love a small knife in my watch pocket, but nearly always have a 3.5" companion in the RFP to supplement it depending on the task. I've eyed the #68 for a long time, liking it's single spring slimness. If I spotted one with long-pull spear who knows I just may jump on it someday.

Oldman, I know what you're saying. I've been increasingly hampered by arthritis in my hands, and as much as I fanatically love my peanut, I've been carrying it less and less, in favor of my resolza and number 15 GEC. They are just easier on my hands to open, especially the resolza with just the friction folder action to work against. Twice in just the past week, I've fumbled the opening of my peanut to the extent of dropping it once, and cutting myself a minor slice another time. I hate it that at age 73, the list of what I can do anymore is shrinking.

Not into EO slippies like the #85 or an EO15 Carl? Sorry to hear the Peanut has become difficult to handle.

I have a single spear EO85 and it's easy to handle with the EO notch.

I don't think the EO would do as well. The resolza has been an eye opener for the friction folder concept. Way easier on older hands. Just like the Opinel when used as a friction folder.
