Returning after a long spell

Hi folks. Around the early 2000s I was into custom knife making. I made a nice shop in the basement and had a cheap website on geocities which is long gone. I’ve got too many hobbies now to really focus on just one but this morning I decided to search up a couple old knifemaking buddies of mine because I had a question about sharpening systems and couldn’t decide what style to invest in. To my horror I found out one of my friends, Dave Larsen had passed in 2021! That made me sick to my stomach. While Dave and I lived a couple hours away and had gotten together to attempt Damascus at my house and other knife talk, another friend of mine, Bruce Evans, was down south and I had only talked with him on the phone and emailed him back and forth. The posts I used to make under my former name “vaquero57 “ are still here apparently and you can still see Bruce and Dave’s replies as we all kind of stayed in touch. But can anyone tell me what happened to Bruce? I see his Facebook page doesn’t have any posts past 2017 and his website doesn’t appear to exist anymore. I cannot find any obituary so I hope he and his family are well. I’m surprised that I could t google any bladeforums threads about where he went. He was pretty well known and it seems as if Dave also was before he passed. When Dave and I met he was still in his beginning years.

It’s all good. I stumbled across those old threads while searching my friends names. Just was curious if anyone knew what happened to ol Bruce. Maybe life caught up and he had to get a regular 9-5 job. I know last we chatted which was years ago he had made a reference to financial stress and his wife was working while he was building his craft.
