Hello fellow knife makers, collectors and purveyors of fine cutlery,
Well Im finally coming back. I see many new faces as well as a few old faces around here as I scan some posts and the forum layout has changed quite a bit since I was active on here a few years ago. Maybe a few of you will remember me or have seen some of my work over time and I am always happy to make new friends. I was away because we moved and I lost my knife shop until I built a new one, which is finally done. I also faced some health issues and several surgeries during that time as well, but all is good and I have 2 new Cobalt Chrome Moly knees that work great! I am excited to be back at it again, it left a big hole in me mentally to not make knives. It was fun getting back into it and getting the feel for grinding and remembering all the little tricks to doing a good job. I was surprised to learn Crucible Steel where I purchased my steel had went out of business and a new company picked up the CPM-154-CM steel that I work with. I see a few names of makers that were around here back then and happy to see them as well as the new makers names. Its great that new folks are picking up the interest and developing the skills to make one of mans oldest tools. Hopefully I will be getting a few up for sale on here soon. I hope this is the proper place to put this if not would a moderator please move to the appropriate place.
