Returning to the becker world!!!

Years back I had a kabar becker bk7 and becker brute,,, loved the knives, worked em hard, and upon hard times sold them.... and regret it to this day!!
Anyway, tonight I was competing on an ebay auction for a set of two kabar beckers, a bk7 and bk9.... and won a bidding war for them!

here's part of the description!


Up for sale 2 (two) brand new Ka-Bar knives in retail cardboard boxes:

1) Ka-Bar Becker BK7 Combat Utility Fixed Blade Knife (7-Inch) (comes with sheath).
2) Ka-Bar Becker BK9 Combat Bowie Fixed Blade Knife (comes with sheath).

Both knives are in pristine, brand new condition. Never been used. I received them directly from Ka-Bar!

And.....and they (ka bar) are gonna make the Brute again, next summer ish.

seriously?? I really hope so,, I am returning full force to beckerworld,,, I love these knives!! I have a esse izula I am going to put up soon to try to trade for a like becker,, but when the brute returns I will definately be getting one. I am a knife junkie,, have a tops (gasp) stryker defender tool (with a kydex sheath which was a tops prototype straight from tops) , a couple buck strider folders, condors, a buck or two,,, ,but in the end I want to trade them all off and be becker only... (and no I am not advertising on here, just stating my future plans for becker to dominate my knife world!

We have contests man. Win some free knives. Most of us here aren't fan boi's for Beckers, sure we like em' a bunch and appreciate the value and toughness but i'd venture a guess and say many if not most of us B heads have other brands we like just as much. Don't get rid of anything you might regret. Oh, and it's this little community we have here that's awesome, we also have get togethers.

My wife thinks I'm crazy may want that Izula if you do sell it, seems like he was saying he wanted one the other day.

Make sure to email the moose some pictures of your hairy manboobs.
 
Like Oregon said, i doubt anyone of us here has "only" Becker knives. Many of us love knives.... Period. I personally have always liked Busse kin and have several but I certainly love my beckers too. IMHO you would be hard pressed to find a better bang for the buck user knife. And the community here is a bunch of knife loving characters and it's a whole lot of fun, I'm new(sorta) and everyone is awesome .
 
I just strapped my BK7 on this morning & took it hunting. I saw no deer, but used the BK7 to clear a new area & shooting lane. Becker knives ROCK !!!
 
I hear you. My first Becker was a 2 and I had a friend who really liked it so I gifted it away. I thought about that for months until I couldn't stand it anymore. Now I have 4 of them.

They have the bk14 Eskabar, necker with an Izula handle, commonly had for appx. $40, no need to give up your Izula. If you have a set of Izula scales, they will even work on the Eskabar.
Oh, and we all have other knives we like just as much, at least until that bk2 folder comes out.
 
Oh I have some others I like as well,,, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I have many beckers coming in my future,,, some off the top I would like to acquire are the brute, bk2, bk5, bk14 (as I really like my izula so would like to try that in comparison!) etc...
 
Note though- I said that the Izula scales will fit the bk14, and they will, but they do require some minor modification, you have to sand the liners a little. Just clearing that up.
I recommend the bk7, my current favorite knife overall, especially with a Spec-Ops sheath, the stock ones kinda need improvement IMO.
(no offense Toooj, Mr. Becker, or anyone involved in the design of the sheaths, I just prefer a pouchless sheath with plenty of retention)
 
Today was an awesome day!! Just found out a friend of mine is in possession of my backup (new) tan becker bk7 from years ago,, still has the knife and the sheath, no box (but that is ok)... anyway,,, he is sending it back to me!! That will put me up to 3 beckers!! The most important thing on this one is a blade I loved is coming home,,, but now she will have other sisters!! LOL

Congrats on the knives!
And welcome back to becker world. :D I'm new to becker knives, starting off with a BK14, but I imagine the collection with grow pretty fast.
