Sorry about the cheesy subject line but sometimes I can't help myself. :p Anyway, here is the recently reunited Neem Handled Yvsa Cherokee Special I have been slowly but surely sharking but by bit back together as the pieces showed up in the DOTD's. The first piece I bought was an unmarked YCS Karda. When these are made as stand alone pieces, they generally bear all the kami marks etc so I thought it was strange this one didn't but stuff happens so I figured it was just one of those things. Next I managed to get the main blade of the set in the scabbard plus the awl. So now I was pretty sure the last Karda should be along soon and sure enough, last week it appeared and I was lucky enough to get it as well. Here is the set, back together again for the first time since it was accidentally separated in shipping. Note the color of the neem is different because some of the pieces have already had some BLO applied to them.

the main blade fits PERFECTLY into one of the KEMF sheaths too!

Since it does fit so well, here are the stats for the main YCS Blade for you to consider:

OAL: 18 1/2 inches
Blade: 12 1/4 inches to bolster
Belly @ Widest Point: 2 5/8 inches
Spine: 7/16 inch
Weight: 38 oz (from the DotD posting)

This really is a monster of a blade but I really like it. It will chop all by itself if you'll let it. :D

I still can't decide whether you earlier pictures of the Panchtar Chit or this YCS are more beautiful. I might just have to buy them both ;) ... yeah, I wish I could...

Great lookin rig!! cool that you hunted down all pieces and with time all the wood should age the same ;)

Nice job
