I'm trying to figure out what this post means. I'd ask via pm but I obviously don't have it and I'd send an email but you don't have it so I'm asking here in order to not detail that thread because its pretty civil so far. Was something said that should be given a green light by the mods to flame me in general discussion? I didn't bash anyone, I didn't bash any company, I just talked about steels as I've experienced them. The one negative post in the whole thread you responded to and told him to carry on. Was that meant in some other way other than how I took it? Just seeking clarification.
 
It was an edited post, nothing more nothing less. You could get yourself Pms for the low, low price of a Basic membership if you are so inclined. Was something said? Well, I don't know, I can't say I find much interest in certain topics enough to spend time reading them. You should ask yourself that very question. You've garnered yourself a pretty good level of negative attention by your own doing here. If you are looking for some sort of deep seeded conspiracy, then again you are mistaken. Carry on, as in carry on your "civil" discussion in the other area, don't look for things that aren't there. Hope this clears things up for you. Otherwise, best to bark up the wrong tree.

I guess bickering in whine and cheese and talking about a company that so many people depend on to retain resale value will do that.

Not sure what this specific comment is in regards to, but clearly it has to do with an entirely different topic. Might want to start a new thread for this one.

It is clearly not for everybody. However, there is a sign on the door with a warning before entering. If it is not for you then do as Tom Haverford and stay in the car. If you poke in you may get hit in the face with poop.
If you are already aware of the poop fight going on in the deep dark basement, it makes no sense to go down there and try to change the minds of the poop covered participants. They will throw it right back.

It is just a place to let off steam. If it is not for you ignore it.

I pretty much agree with what you posted, Benchwarmer380, & have followed your W&C philosophy, since I joined BF's.

One of the few times that I DID venture into W&C, I watched one of the most enlightening video's I've ever had the pleasure of viewing. It was posted by BF member, Charlie Mike; the one asking for tips/advice on dating.

It was truly one of thee funniest things I've ever watched! :thumbup:

Thank you, for the clarity, RD (regarding the purpose of the W&C). You are one of the people (Mod's), whom I truly respect here, on BF. I sincerely appreciate all of the valuable time, & energy that you spend, trying to keep this forum running smoothly. :thumbup:

To most, I would likely appear to be a timid contributor and indeed I am not a practiced debater, a razor wit, a joiner of snarky-whatever ... but I am comfortable in what I wish to express. Every so often, I catch a post that invites me in to generally hostile discussion, even when I am not all that confident.

You know, the strongest personalities in BF are welcoming of the newcomer, the interloper, the person who may be out of place in the current debate. I am nobody much, but have experienced broad welcome here in BF for debate, novice ideas, expression, opposition ... and I feel welcome, but challenged. I would not have it any other way.
