Fellow forumites, do not laugh at this subject. I have hard evidence that Chris Reeve Knives is the true Area 51. I came to this startling revelation (after 4 Coronas to help me think) when trying to explain the following facts:

Fact 1. I sent my large classic in on June 5 by FedEx next day air to CRK due to some mysterious pits on the blade. Bridgete promised me my new knife "within about 3 weeks". On June 25, I had my new large classic.

Question- What normal Customer Service Department beats it's promise or, for that matter, even keeps it's promise?

Fact 2. The certificate states that the knife was made on June 24th.
Remember, I have the knife in my hands today- June 25th.
The package had a UPS 3 day mail sticker on it. The package was sent to my parents house (to ensure that it didn't disappear from my doorstop) and my mother claims it arrived yesterday afternoon.

Question- How could this knife be made on one day in Boise, Idaho and on the same day be on my doorstep in Bowie, Maryland? Even if my mom might be getting a little batty and the package showed up today- within 24 hours? When does UPS deliver a 3 day package within 24 hours?

Fact 3. Every time I called, Bridgete and Tammy are extremely pleasant and very helpful. Bridgete's emails were very polite and said exactly what I wanted to hear. Every post on this forum that I read raves about how nice these people are.

Question- Honestly, does this sound like normal human behavior to you? (Remember we are talking about Customer Service Employees...)

Fact 4. CRK produces some amazing knives composed of complex materials that work perfectly together on a daily bases. A search of the forum shows very little info concerning defective products.

Question- What other knife company can work with S30V (and what exactly is that stuff?), titanium, A2, precious wood, and dyed leather and make exceptionaly high quality products. Does this sound humaly possible?

Fact 5. Sebenzas are so well designed that even the dumbest person could figure out how to dismantle and reassemble one. Also, CRK encourages people to take the knife apart my providing a mysterious black tool (think of the monolith from 2001 folks).

Question- What other company allows this? Most print large warnings in bold red type saying: YOU WILL VOID THE WARRANTY, MORON.

The only logical conclusion is thus:

THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT FROM THIS PLANET.

They don't get tired, have a bad day, or make a normal amount of human mistakes. There is no possible way for my package to travel 2,400 miles inside of 24 hours by normal human transportation. Therefore, CRK has to be a secret alien hive posing as a "normal" knife making company.

I rest my case.

(Then again maybe it just could be the water in Boise....)

HOLEY SHNIKEY BALLS!!!!!! Where is Mulder and Scully!!!!?:D
