So this is my first time posting in here, I'm a little apprehensive seeing the amazing quality and of work that builders post, and not to mention the quality photography. I'm building Coops lightbox this weekend; it should help with getting the detail and lighting better. I usually post in the Gallery. This is a little different that my normal blades over 3.5 as it has a paracord wrapped handle. I normally do Micarta but this is what the user wanted.
Its O-1 Tool Steel, I did a hollow grind using a 10" wheel on the main cutting edge, the front edge is flat ground and the top is flat ground to zero. It has a satin finish. The blade is 5" long and the total length is 10.25". Let me know what you think!
Here's a pic with a little less glare..
Heat Treating is one of my favorite parts... had to throw this one in.
