reversing the clip

has anyone tried drilling into the handle of an emerson to switch the side the clip is on. I considered doing this because left handed models are back ordered untill only god knows when. I figured i would just drill pilot holes into the handle and screw the screws in that way. Any Thoughts? Experience?

i tried, and failed. i was unable to drill into the titanium liner. and you would need the liner to be threaded for the screw. if you have the proper equipment it should be no problem, but may void the warranty.

you can send the knife to emerson and for $25 they will drill & tap the opposite side of the knife so you can use the clip on either side
