Continued from Part II …

Fall has fallen here in Virginia … the wind has a slight chill, the leaves are dancing, there’s football to watch … and that all says “Chili” to me!
So, since this is slated to be my EDC as well as my “little knife” on hiking and camping trips, I decided to see how it did with a little food prep …

Well, it zipped right though peppers, onions, garlic, and even a little Top Round steak …

… it wasn’t just able to do it – it was really good at all of it (especially the steak!) … the edge was clearly still quite sharp, and I think this thing just fits my hand well, because it easily out-performs its size … and it’s really fun to use!

Here it is after kitchen duty was all done … and it’s not even breathing hard! Dressed in Ghost Jade for EDC …

And dressed in orange, as it will be when paired with my Idun - for bushcraft, camping trips, and such …

Summary:
I couldn’t be more pleased. The value for the steel, the build quality, and the performance of this knife is a slam-dunk. Along with how keen Brian is on keeping his clients happy, and that adds up to just a great decision on my part to snag one of these.
So if you’re on the fence … well, honestly, there is no fence here – if you have a need for a small fixed blade or have just been wondering about trying one as an EDC; now that I’ve handled it, I feel confident in saying you’d be hard pressed to find a better option than the EK&T Companion.

Great guy, great knife … looking forward to what he comes up with next …

Ed.....

What a great over view of the knife.....so how do you find yourself carrying it ? Simply in your pocket sheathed in the kydex, clipped to the pocket or around your neck ?

Thanks, Boggs! ... I was asked the same question in the Part I thread, so I'll just copy and paste my answer ...

At first I had planned to add a TekLock and wear it on my belt, but after seeing the size I realized that it will vanish in a back pocket and is pretty flat, so for now, that's how I'm carrying it.

This is the first little fixed blade that lends it itself (for me) to actual EDC, as I am in an office / computer lab environment every day.

Also I discovered that in jeans it will fit in the change pocket and cant to the rear at a slight angle, keeping it both out of the way and quite handy … probably look a little weird with a tuck in shirt but with a tee shirt or sweatshirt worn untucked, you won't even see it …

Can you tell I like this thing?
