here's the latest kydex sheath from godspeed's skunk works dept.
the retention device is perfect for just a flick of the thumb.
once un-snapped, the bungee cord behind the strap pulls it away from the handle/knife's edge so there's no risk of it being sliced when you pull the knife out...really slick
it's set up as a lefty (i'm a lefty obviously) but the retention device can be easily made into a righty.
the strap is made of a rubbery material that's reinforced with nylon strands in the middle.
notice too that the rivets are lefty - it's inserted from the left side (most sheath makers i've seen usually insert it from the right as standard) and flared on the right side...the only other sheath maker i've seen that has this much attention to detail is shotgunner11
there's zero rattle in the sheath because the kydex is tight around the tip area.
but the rest of the sheath is not touching the edge at all...that's good since even with machetes i like to keep them shaving sharp.
my lite machete is one of my most used knives of all time and it's finally rewarded with a proper sheath...thank you, eli!
