Yes, another Kabar / Dozier review. But this one is for the larger model, the 4070.

Specifications
Handle: The handle is 4.9" long, and is one-piece black Zytel. It has the same aggressive diamond texture to it that the other Doziers have. Both sides of the handle have the Kabar logo inside a circle, in the middle of the handle. There are no liners. There's no lanyard hole on this one, though. The pocket clip is located on the butt of the knife (tip up). It's blackened, and is adjustable for left or right-handed use. But it's tip-up only. It's removed via Torx (T-8) bit. The knife locks open via lockback, positioned in the back of the handle (unlike the earlier models). The blade pivot is adjustable, and is stainless steel. It uses a Torx (T-6) bit for adjustment. Now, there's also a smaller Torx bit inside of the blade pivot, and I don't know what it's for. The smaller one is completely removable without affecting the rest of the knife.
Blade: The blade on the 4070 is 3.55" long and made of AUS-8, and is 56-58 Rc. It's a hollow grind. The tip ends in a skinning / spear point, like the earlier model 4062. There are no thumb grooves on this one, though. There are two thumb studs; one on each side of the blade. They're textured for grip. Both the blade and thumb studs have a satin finish.

Using the Knife
I used the larger Dozier for skinning a deer and general use around the house. While nothing remarkable, I was surprised at how well the AUS-8 held up. It's been almost two weeks, and the knife still doesn't need a touch-up.
Final Impressions
This model costs $26 US. I wish it has thumb grooves, but it doesn't. I'm getting very used to using the dual thumb studs, in tandem with the tip-up pocket clip, as a kind of "wave" feature. I can snag the thumb stud on the corner of my pocket and open it just like an emerson or a newer Spyderco. I actually compared this to my Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter, and this one came out on top, despite a $30 price difference. It's a keeper, and I look forward to more models in this series of knives from Kabar.
