Well I started looking at Kizer knives without intention of buying one until I saw this one. I didn't find much out there save for one YouTube review so I figured I'd try my hand at my first review. Now that it is here, my anxiety about being disappointed is gone, and I'm loving this blade! I put it next to a manix 2 for comparison.

Overall design:
First of all, it looks GREAT. I hoped it would as, sorry folks, I did kinda get this one for its looks:). The stone wash looks fantastic and it has a raised ridge at the tanto that is like a microtech metalmark, and while I like how this looks, it does not help it cut. I saw a review that said there was an uneven grind at the tanto, but that isn't the case, its actually because of the raised ridge. It still functions fine for most utility purposes. If you're looking for the greatest slicer made, this isn't it. What did you expect? You see the blade shape! Oh yeah, its a flat grind too.

Handle:
The ergos are very good, I love the handles. Vines give some grip and the handle is great. The choil is very nice and is completely rounded which makes it very comfy. Gripping without the choil it makes me feel like the knife is part of my hand...except for that damn upturnt pocket clip! Oh well, it doesn't bug me too much, I'm not planning on doing anything with this that would have me developing hotspots over lots of time and hard use. I plan to have this be more of a dress up blade. Its just beautiful This is a gentleman's knife to me! Don't care what your definition is.;)

Flippage:
OK, its a flipper, so it should be able to flip...though there are so many that really don't. Well this flips great, and easily! Every time. And it damn well better cuz it don't got no thumbstuds! But since it does flip great the lack of thumbstuds becomes an asset to sharpening and carry.

I think it may be on bearings, but if not, the action is just buttery smooth with no blade play, out of box.

Lockup: is perfect IMO.It

Carry:
This carries well in the sense that it is not bulky and lies comfortably in the pocket, but it carries pretty high for my preferences.
