A BIG thank you to Daggerblade for being kind enough to send me out 6 of these meals.....
I figured a short review was in order.
The Meal Pack I opened was the Chicken Tetrazzini Kit.

contents look like regular .Gov MRE's except for a couple things.

right off the bat, I noticed that there was not the regular pack of salt&pepper, tabasco, napkin and gum (or whatever substitute they put in there) and there was a Bag of Salt Water:eek: to pour into the heater. GREAT IDEA!

I poured the water into the heater pouch after I had put the meal pouch in it....and went off to check out the other goodies that came in the kit!

Fig Bars, Raisins,Shortbread Cookie and the ususal heavy duty crackers and cheese spread. All tasted very good and very much up to par! Lemonade mix tasted just like Countrytime:D

after about 20 minutes, I got the main meal ready! now the other downer is the small spoon. I like the long brown spoons that come in the .Gov packs...and the smaller spoon makes it messy to eat the Tetrazzini.

The main meal would normally be eaten right out of the pack..but I put it on a plate for all to see. It tasted good but really needed some s&p.

other than the short spoon and no condiments....the survival factor was upped a notch with the included salt water in the kit.
It was as good or better than any MRE's I have had!

Look like the IMP's the Canadian forces had, but I dont think they would taste as nice. :D
