Review request A.G. Russell San Mai Drop Point

I have been checking out this knife recently, and just wondered if any of my fellow forumites may have one of these, that they would share some information about.

Here is what I would like to know to start - I did email this twice to A.G., but there spam filter must be working overtime.

I have a question (or two) about your A.G. Russell San Mai Drop Point hunter.

* Is it Flat or hollow Ground?
* How thick is the blade?
* Does the blade have a distal taper?
* Tapered tang, or full tang?
* Any contour to the handle?
* What is the handle thickness?
* Is the sheath a pouch style?

This looks like a great knife. Good job on the design. The Spalted Maple looks awesome. Sorry for all of the questions, and thank you in advance for your patience.

Like all of A.G.'s designs, this one seems to be inspired as well. It looks like the perfect hunter.
Any info would be appreciated.

I now know what you mean. I mailed them about an order three days ago...no reply. I'll have to resort to calling and that sucks because it's kind of expensive calling from Europe.

For that kind of dough, you could get a very nice custom blade.
