I don't own one, but I handled some at Blade. They seem very strong: lockback, stout VG-10 blades, thickish double liners, etc. They look like great hard-use folders, and I'm sure they would make excellent camp tools as well as tactical folders. However, they just weren't for me (that's just my first impression, of course). They didn't open very smoothely (that may be able to be adjusted), probably due to the lockback and being new and not broken in, and the handle seemed a bit bulky. Don't get me wrong, I think they are very nice folders, but they're just not my style. BTW, IMHO they are an excellent value.

I think it would look better without the aluminum bolsters being black. A lighter color would look much better. I also think they would look good with some pretty wooden scales istead of black g-10.

For all the people who loved the Buck 110 all these years, these look to be a big improvement. Better steel in the blade, lighter weight with the same basic style. I too, would prefer something like Rosewood or other nice wood. Maybe light blue anodized titanium bolsters?

I haven't handled them, but I do like the way they look. And most of A.G.'s designs are well thought out.

My first thought was wood scales as well. In fact, I shot the URL to a woodworker friend of mine to see what he thought.

Blue alum might be cool as well. Lots of potential here.

I wonder if someone could buy them at "dealer" price ($75?), outfit them with wood scales, and still sell them at a profit for $125 or so?

Might be a cool Recupero-type project as well.

Hi Guys : I just sent A.G.R. a check on Saturday for one of the StrikeForce Folding Camp Knives (saber ground drop point, plain edge). Among other reasons for ordering included the price, VG-10 steel and to compare it directly from a preformance standpoint to my Tops Magnum Folder and SERE 2000 folder. The Magnum and SERE are very tough knives, almost overbuilt some might say. But for me, they sure get the job done. The StrikeForce, with its "advanced" steel should hold an edge longer. It's weight, size and other characteristics are unique unto themselves ( I like lockbacks and holes for blade opening). I will enjoy having these three strong knives in the line-up because they will offer versitility; Taking a hatchet/Sere 2000, a Kukri/Strikeforce, relying on others and their blades/Magnum....or some combination therof. I'll get back to you and express an opinion. If there is a particular function you would like to know about ( rope or wood cutting, light chopping, etc.),please let me know.
