I've been looking at this knife alot on the internet. Is Thermorun similar to Kraton? I like Kraton grips. The blade shape looks useful, and I like AUS8A steel. What I'm really wondering is does the knife have Zytel under the Thermorun to reinforce it? Or does it have liners, or both? Those questions answered and a general review greatly appreciated...

I don't own the knife, but I've heard good echoes among hunters I know... it seems that the shape of the blade is very functional for skinning, that it keeps an edge surprisingly well, more over, it will not stain easily with AUS8 :)

I have the Pendleton hunter and I like it. It has a very similar blade profile. Holds an edge well and sharpens easy. Seems to be a stout knife and I'm happy with my purchase. I wish I could that about all my knives!

Oh, mine has a (I think) kraton grip. Nice and grippy.

There are thick steel liners under the thermorun.

Fällkniven uses thermorun on their black handled models and it's a lot like kraton..

It's a sturdy knife with great cutting capabilities.
The only drawback is that it's easy for dirt to accumulate under de rubber handle-slab since it's only fixed with some screws. When you pull the rubber aside with your thumbnail you'll see what I mean. Also it's not a fast opener because the spring is very tight. Solid lock-up though..
