Review request: Motorola SLVR

I've had a SLVR for a couple of months now....

My thoughts are that it's an extremely compact but full-featured phone. It's also more durable than one might give it credit for, in my experience. Mine has been dropped, sat on, and put in a messenger bag full of hard, heavy objects. The result? A few scratches on the key pad and the lanyard recess has had a few slivers (Ha!) of the black coating worn off.

I get excellent reception here in the US, on the Cingular network. Also, I happen to have an OEM model, so I can use any GSM carrier I want, and I can drag and drop media files to the phone, instead of using iTunes. (Though I'm admittedly unsure if iTunes is a real requirement for the US co-branded phones.) Also it's a really cool looking phone. :)

The only cons I can think of are that the buttons are somewhat smaller than most phones, and that it really does disappear in the hand and pocket, to the extent that you might be more prone to dropping it than other phones. But it's still an awesome little phone.

I just got one last month, and so far so good. It was an unlocked phone which took awhile to get it all set up for Cingular, but it all works great now. Good reception and sound is clear.

Got mine from SELLULARPHONES on the bay.
