I work with computers a lot and this seems like it could replace my screwdriver and Leatherman tool.

Is it really useful if you use it a lot? Or is it more of a last-ditch tool? Is the screwdriver long enough for you? Useable pliers? How thick is it - too thick to carry in a pants pocket?

And why the corkscrew?? And hook?

Thanks for any comments!

I have a Cybertool 29 -- mine lacks the scissors and pliers which I have forgone for space, and since I still carry a pulse which has superior pliers and comparable scissors. I really like mine. Carry it everyday.

I use the corkscrew on mine frequently, because my wife (and to a lesser extent I) like wine. Even more convenient is that it holds that small jewelery screwdriver, which is great for anyone wiht glasses or sunglasses.

Mine lacks the hook as that is always on the backspring of the scissors.

The screwdriver with the bits is nice and long. I use these screwdrivers first, even before those on my Pulse, unless I know it is going to take serious torque. As the driver has 2 backsprings, it is pretty difficult to accidentally close it, which is nice, though I wish it actually locked.

The 29 is thinner than the 34 and fits nicely in the pants pocket. Somewhere between the width of an Explorer and a Climber.

Personally, I would love an even smaller one. The bit driver and bits, small blade, combo tool, and scissors (and all the outside crap -- corkscrew, pen, pin, etc.) Kind of a cyber-yeoman. But that's me and I always have my Pulse as well.

Hope this helps...

I've only had mine for about a month, so I don't have a lot of experience with it yet, but I do like it.

I measured the width at 1 and 1/16 inch, so it's not petite, but not a brute either. It has a great number of tools, including Torx drivers that would be useful on electronic equipment.

The pliers seem useful enough for light duty.

It would ride fairly well in the pocket, but I got the leather belt pouch for it. In a work situation, that would probably do better for you.

The fish hook disgorger? Well, you never know what you might be doing when you carry it.

Cork screw? You can never tell when you will be called upon to open an emergency bottle of wine. It could make you the most popular guy around.;)

You are welcome. I meant to add the bit quality is pretty darn good (better than the ones that come with Compaq's $26 screwdriver. bleh!) and bit retention is pretty good. I haven't lost any yet (had this sak for over a year) and that's pretty good for me!!
