Recently I came across 55Si7 steel alloy which is used in bayonets and knives....Eickhorn and some companies use them in their new design knives. The blade thickness of these knives and bayonets are 3.6mm. HOW GOOD IS 55Si7 STEEL? Pls give reviews and comments. Share pics and videos.

Shall I go for it? I am thinking to buy Eickhorn Paracommando with 8 inch blade and 3.6 mm thickness.....It has fence wire cutter, will that work properly?
