Remember this AK Bowie that was the UBDOTD a couple of days ago?

Take it for $95. The terrorists are not going to crimp our style.

Call or email if interested.

This one is gone but I've got another just like it for the same price. UBDOTDs are going to keep going no matter what the terrorists want.

Somebody go ahead and take this one. It is killing me not being able to get big shiny things, but a convention is not too far away!!

For those new to the forum this is also known as the Himalayan Imports "Bird and Trout" ( or was that "Trout and Bird"? ) model. Specs called for a half inch spine, IIRC.

The one I have is made by the kami with no name. It's a very good rendition -- fine fit and finish. KNN has made this knife exactly 15 inches in length and it weighs in at 27 ounces. Blade is 3/8 thick. He's done a good job.

It's interesting to me to see how the various kamis go about making this knife. They each have their own ideas as to what it should be.

Besides "Crocodile Dundee", there's also a Movie named "City Slickers" where the trail boss of the cattle drive, Curly, (Jack Palance) pulls out his Bowie and starts stopping it, scaring the living daylights of of Mitch, the character played by Billy Crystal.

The HI Bird and Trout woud have been a good knife for Mitch to haul out and begin steeling at that point.
