I have a model 442 that I bought about 10 years ago. I bought it because I was on a budget and it was a Buck. Me and that knife have been through alot and I really love it. The problem is that I recently bought a Buck 110. Although I really like the 110, I was wondering if it was possible or practical to send my 442 in and have the blade fitted to a Ranger (112?) body?

Maybe I was misunderstood. I would like to use the existing blade from my 442 Bucklite and have it put into a current production 112 body. As I stated in my first post, I am very attached to this blade for all that we've been through. I would like to continue to use it but the Buchlite handle that it is in, I believe that it is Delrin, is no longer satisfactory to me. Could Buck Custom shops do this? I hope that I'm not the only Buck owner that has become emotionally attached to my knife!
