Suprising as it may sound, i've been finding myself taking my revo out way more than my chronarch. Both are the newest models out but i'll tell you what i like and dislike about both. The shimano is purely class. It's very comfortable to handle, light and very smooth. I feel that the bearings could use some more working in in order to get a good casting distance, but it's to be expected. The revo is amazing at casting lighter baits and has a monster drag. What i dislike about the revo is it's size. It is very large in the hand. It's comfortable if it's all you use, but if you've been spoiled by a shimano low profile reel, it's got some competition. I like the weight system setup better on the revo as well as the spool tension knob, but i much prefer the star drag on the chronarch vs the revo. Aesthetically i love the way the revo looks. The chronarch just looks plain, but is still a good looking reel. Handle has to go to the revo, but knobs go to the chronarch. I guess in the end each is it's own. The chronarch is a great reel if you're going to be casting all day long, but if you want the versatility of a few reels without having to bring spinning gear for lighter tackle like trout lures and such, the revo is the way to go. As it is, i'm going to a spot that i've never been to tonight and i have to choose between the two! Hard choice. I think i may bring the chronarch out though.
