schrade made a folder back in 1985, it had jackalope stag antlers on it, pure gold bolsters, and the blade was folded meteorite steel. they made a limited supply of these and sold them in canada only!!! i have heard that they came in a solid silver display case, with a sheet of glass on top from the schrade factory!!! i want one!!! here today i offer $5,000,000, any super model of your choice, and a flight in my personal f-14 tomcat, and i will let u have my pet lowland gorilla for one!!:eek: anyone have one of these?? waynorth has all the rare prototype knives, maybe he has one?? sounds like a mystery for scooby-doo to me!:cool:

They couldn't have made that knife! It's probably counterfeit!! I have all the Jackalope stag antlers; Cornered the market in 1967!!
 
There was actually a set of three of these knives made. Called the "Earth and Sky" series, composed of metals from the lithoshere (mined rare ores), and metals from space forged into damascus. The space metals came from three different meteorites, the first..1985, had gold mountings and Esquel pallasite meteorite, the second, 1986, had platinum mountings and Renfrow meteorite, the third, 1987, had palladium mountings and Dhofar 010 meteorite. Each has it's own fossilized bone, horn, or tooth handle scales as well. T. Rex tooth, Dire Wolf bone, and Tricerotops horn, in order. Only three sets were made, and one was launched into space recently for some rich dude's "space burial", the second set has been rumored to be owned by Stephen Hawking (he will neither confirn nor deny), and the whereabouts of the third is a complete mystery. Leonard Nemoy and William Shatner's names have been bandied about as possible owners, but both have denied it Nemoy saying it wasn't logical, and Shatner saying "fat chance".

hhhmmm, wonder whats in that case up under charlies truck seat?? could that be the "lost" set?? sheathmaker is designing a sheath for him now out of alligator skin, kangaroo scrotum(courtesy of larry!), and diamonds. last i heard he was putting a bid in on that diamond that lady found last week. i think i will have muskratman make me a knife out of a panda tooth. wonder where i can get one...
 
I never heard so much crap in my life! All three sets are exactly where I put them upon aquisition. Two sets are here in my shop (I use one set on a dialy basis to cut leather,and sharpen it daily as well). One set is in Arizona where I sent it to Bill Wolfe (El Lob) in payment for some tanned scorpion hides.

You mean that after I did all that work on tanning that scorpion El Lobo had some already tanned.Arnold
