Rex 95 steel

I have a bar that's 6" x 1/2" x 1". Does anybody know if this type of steel can be made into a knife? if so, any suggestions who or what company can do it?

That's Crucible's name for T8 tool steel. It's designed for cutting tools that operate at high temperatures .It has 14 % tungsten so it's hardly suitable for any other use such as knives .

I'd say send it to Phil Wilson, he can heat treat anything.

Though, the website says he's pretty backlogged as of May 08. You may have to wait a while till he could do some work for you.
