I'm excited about this one, the blue twill knocked the weight down to just over 4 ounces.

This one has three days into it and is fully functional... one more day of finishing and it should be good to go! :D

It's nice and thin at .010" just up the edge and transitions to a .020" thick tip. D2!

I really like the Blue Twill (Textalium) it is very strong and ultralight.

Please ignore the water drop... :D

Lookin' goood. I think a heat colored blade would be cool too... that or acid stone washed. Highly usable blade. Polished flats or grinds tend to look ugly quick... making it harder to use a polished blade IMO.. but I am ME O_o

Keep it up! Make sure those clips are just tight enough but not too tight to put over the jean edge pocket! =o

Thanks!

That's interesting, I rarely do heat colored steel but was thinking that would look cool on this one.

I have this "set up" with a 600 grit bevel finish (still need to hand finish flats) but it will be garnet blasted and stonewashed... probably acid etched before stonewash. I like to go high grit before a light blast then tumble to burnish the blade a bit, the finish keeps up nicely.

I hear you on the clips too... this one will have my new clip that is much thicker than before. .155" vs .100" for a clip that is easier to use. I left the clip in the shop but I think it is my best clip yet, nice and rounded.

Thanks again for the input... always great to talk knives! :D

Pretty. Who wants to buy this and trade me for my carbon fiber? lol

Hi Vibram4, great to see you here.

The CF was originally going to be part of the trifecta :D as I have one more coming up in silver twill also... I'm too slow to do all three at once though! :D

Trade for Carbon fiber you say? Hot damn.

Let me see if I can get some equity outta my house first... lol!

I don't recall the CF rf2...

Then again, I don't recall yesterday :D

I actually keep trying to get around to learning Japanese... but without a Japanese speaking friend or going to a class, it ain't an easy language to pick up!! 3 "alphabets"... 2 main ones, then the kanji.. I can write hiragana and sort of read it.. but with particles and katakana and UGH...

My first guess is those characters are simple kanji, less than 5 strokes a piece.. or chinese.

To me the card means 10v! :D

Oh and THAT CF knife, yes, I don't recall :D but thanks!

^That!

The kanji means Fairly... I hope! :D

It's Kanji. Kanari - considerably; fairly (fair + to be) - usually just the Kana alone (the first character - for fair).

Thanks guys for the comments! I spent 12+ hours in the shop yesterday and was too tired to type a response, lol. This one is looking good though! Extra coffee today! :D

Both very amazing blades!
Thanks B!

But how could you be sure.... It probably says " I am a hairy sasquatch" :D
Love the blue twill, D. I blame you for making me like more colorful knives!...your fault...again!:D
lol exactly! I decided if it did say something funny that would be OK too... :D

This.^
Daniel- Is that a DF tanto on your business card??
:D

:D You know it! I have my prototype ready and am working out post/pre heat grinding details. New steel...
