Thanks, John. I am saddened and surprised at this. Dang.

I liked Rhett a lot. He always had a hello for me and respected my work early one with praise.

Sorry to hear the sad news. I used to see him at NCCA shows, usually with a nice selection of vintage and rare Randall knives. Rhett was always gracious and a pleasure to chat Randall knives with.

My condolences to his family and friends,
Peter

Wow! I just heard about this when I got the latest edition of Blade. I was so saddened. Seeing Rhett and Janie was a highlight of many of the knife shows I attended. When I was new to the world of knives he encouraged me and helped educate me. It was always a pleasure to see them and to stop and chat. I took a motorcycle trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway several years ago and Rhett and Janie were marvelous hosts. Over the last couple of years, I missed them at the shows and always asked around about how Rhett was doing. Rhett was a great presence and a gentleman and will be truly missed. My condolences and prayers to Janie and the family.
