I have what looks like a copy of the Buck model 317 with Japan
and Rhino 39 on the blade that has had the pin hinge slide out.
It has been a great knife for the tool box but I cant get the pin back
in. I would think that the pin would be swaged or hammered
somewhat flat on the ends to keep it from comming out.
My question is who where to send it for repair and what the probable
cost would be to re pin the knife. I dont want to waste money
if the knife is not worth it.

For a long time I actually thought this was a Buck Rhino model
made in japan until I did research and found Rhino is a different
company.
Thanks

I think you might have to ask in the maitainance area or the makers area.

Can't see it costing too much (but time is money). A new pin may require making one to size, though, and/or drilling out the stock pin holes to an available size or such.

Yeah, pins are peened in place.
