RHK Bowie

It costs $385 from Hinderer on the flash sales. I am not sure if the Dealers pay the same or if they invoice higher to dealers. Howes Knife Shop had a flash sale this morning that I won at $495 he mentioned before the flash sale that he was planning to sell at $495 but it could be more based on the invoice when they come in, looks like it was on target with what he thought. So not sure if he pays $385 and marks it up $100. I just got my ACU Bowie I won on the Hinderer Flash sale this week at $385 though.

From the stickey above...

"XM-18 3" Production Model $385.00
XM-18 3.5" Production Model $385.00
XM-24 Production $550.00"

MSRP stands for manufacturers suggested retail price. RHK does not "suggest" what price the dealers set. I have no idea what the dealers pay and don't think it's any of my business.

I'd keep an eye on Howes, Uber, and New Graham they usually have competitive prices... Also next week Rob may do some more Flash sales maybe

And these flash sales that RHK does where does one "go" to find out about them? Are they announced somewhere?

They don't announce when the flash sale will be, but you can find them on the Rick Hinderer Knives Facebook page. If you setup alerts you will be notified when they are going on. It happens randomly and extremely fast.

Rob normally post about them here saying they are coming up and I think the day most of the time. It is just the time no one knows and basically they are all sold within minutes.

^^^^^ There you go :-)....... I fixed that for you! ;)

Wouldn't want to get the fellas hopes up, with all that minutes nonsense, haha. :p

Haha yes yes seconds not minutes. I was actually amazed how fast it is when I saw the first flash sale go like 20 people saying I'm in within 2-3 minutes and only 2 win

Do people just sit on Facebook reloading the Hinderer fan page all day everyday?

To be honest ... I think yes and no. I don't think people do it daily because the flash sales are rare. I think the first flash sale people miss and it's those who are lucky. After the first flash sale if there is a possibility of more then yes they legit stay at the page and refresh non stop.

I am not trying to be a pest, but according to authorized dealer Uber Knives there is an MSRP.

Yes that is true....... MSRP does exist. As stated by Mr. Mike (Post #6) and also found via the "Stickies" as he mentioned.

Now as far as the listed MSRP being "enforced"....... that's were the exception lies with Hinderer, because unlike other manufacturers. Hinderer does not make it's dealers sell at a fixed price (or MSRP). They may sell as high/low as they see fit....... with Uberknives being on the lower end of that spectrum. But as you stick around and will see....... the price can vastly differentiate from dealer to dealer.

I read Mr. Mike to say (in both of his posts) that MSRP does not exist for RHK. Maybe I am being too literal?

What I believe is going on is that RHK DOES have an MSRP, but they let their dealers price RHKs as the market dictates.

I hope that RHK is a manufacturer who wants their product in "everybody's" hands and therefore sends more knives to their MSRP'ing dealer(s).

Again, Mike was correct, Rick Hinderer Knives really doesn't have a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) as they would be suggesting to their dealers what the retail price is. I don't believe they do that nor do they control what price the dealers sell RHK items. What Rick Hinderer Knives does have is their own direct price (either for table sales or flash sales) on knives and all the items they sell on their site. They may be similar in some respects, but it isn't the same as an MSRP if you want to get "literal" about it as you suggest.

In the end, this is a worthless conversation.

Gee. And one wonders Why.... NOT discussing Pricing is specifically mentioned in the Stickies.
Its such an interesting topic.
