Here's another big knife I finished up. Its got a 12 5/8" 1084 blade, I threw in a few pieces of bronze to give it some contrast with the iron and the ebony handle. Its 18" overall and weighs 17oz. This should be the last big knife I do for awhile. I've got a bunch of leather work to get caught up on and hopefully some smaller using knives.

OUCH!
That clip is awesome! Great knife man!

Ray, Another top shelf effort. I like big bowies, iron and hamons. Your knives always amaze me. Awsome job!

Nice contrasts in the handle and an awesome blade!!!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

That looks great Ray! I'm not sure that I've ever liked bronze (except for maybe the extremely weathered/aged look on period pieces) --- but it looks awesome here.

You've got such a great eye for simple elegance and flow in your blades. They're never gaudy or girly, but they're also never "thuggish."

I wish I could articulate it better, but I think you set a new standard for "gentlemen's" knives, not necessarily "dress" or "black-tie" knives, but very gentlemanly...

I hope that sounds the way I intended it to sound --- as a HUGE compliment. I LOVE your work. Wish I could have one for every room in the house

Good

I only have one of your knives --- the Best Hand Forged from OKCA show last year (named it the Prophet.)

But it is one of VERY few blades that I actually display. It's in my living room in a nice case, makes me smile every time I see it! And better yet, it makes me giddy every time I pull it out of the case and practice air cuts ;)

I only have 7 more rooms... :D
