Hello everyone. I'm new here. I'm from Uruguay. I've just received this Herder pocket knife. It seems not to be very well preserved but I bought it for $2.5.
Any information is well received. I wonder if someone can date it.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks! It is a popular brand in Uruguay and argentina but I bought it in USA. The most popular "Herder" brand is "Friedr. Herder Abr. Sohn."

looks like a nice one. GREAT score! 😁👍
Wharncliffe Blade appears mostly full.
I would not worry about the patina. It helps protect against rust.
If mine, I'd lube the joints, sharpen, and drop in my pocket.

Welcome to BF, and "the porch". Hope you'll stick around a long while.

Jack Black Jack Black might have an idea on the date. 😇

Thank you!. I red the mark/logo of just "Rich A. Herder / Solingen" was made until 1945, and it was a German WWII knife provider. Probably was from that period.
