Well, I received a phone call from Richard Rogers the other day and got my name on his list for a half whittler. he told me that he may bring one to the Blade Show West......that one's mine.....hopefully!
I met Tom, the manager of Advanced Cutlery in Arcadia, CA the other days, and he showed me a few very interesting things. The first was a fixed-blade drop-point hunter with desert ironwood handle and a perpect satin finish....by Richard Rogers. It was gorgeous. Tom told me that the sheath, a simple leather pouch, was made my Richard's wife.
The other two items really surprised me. They were two small "tactical" fixed blades, left hand chisel ground geometric American tantos.....by Richard Rogers and they came in kydex sheaths, horizontal draw! Tom said they were of O1 steel with micarta handles.
Very interesting!
By the way, I'm injoying the Ruple stockman very much.....a new daily carry knife!
